C OMING EVENTS & NEWSCOUNTRY DANCE LESSONS - GET YOUR DANCING SHOES ON
Perhaps you have heard the fun several members
have had taking dance lessons at the lodge.
This is such a great opportunity extended to us
by a fellow Elk. Roger Dzogola, who taught country
dance lessons in the St. Louis area has offered his
talents up to help us look better on the dance floor!
Roger has been teaching dances such as the two-step,
waltz, cha-cha, barn dance, ten-step, line dancing and
anything requested since May. This is all to you for
no cost !
Beginning January 7, 2009 lessons will resume
and continue to be held each Wednesday evening
7 - 9 PM. This is a great opportunity to join the
group. Roger is willing to start a new session for
beginners if there is enough interest.
Also there has been some men without partners
attending and the woman in the class are getting
worn out having multiple dance partners so please
women take this chance to help out the other ladies.
Also it may be an excuse to buy some new (dancing)
shoes ! Seriously, single dancers come on along
there will be a partner for you.
In an effort to evaluate the interest, a sign up
sheet is posted to the Lady Elk's bulletin board
(that is the one just before you get to the steam
table - the one you look at while in line waiting
for food!) Please if you are interested and will
come to the sessions in 2009 sign up. Also you
can give Devany Dale (374-6719) or Linda Havel
(372-6243) a call. They can get you added to the
list or answer any question you may have
about the lessons.
This is a great opportunity to meet people, make
some new friends and take advantage of a fellow
Elks expertise! Come on along - you will not be sorry!
